I couldn’t agree more about your negative takeaway from this spot. I find it hard to believe anyone would ever believe this is what happens inside a Coke machine. Utter nonsense.

well possibly, but I think you’re reacting more to the visual style of psyop - the animators.

I think they’re trying to show you that the ‘good times’ feeling is already in the bottle. it’s the reason why coke is about celebration. And yes, i did see the snowmen being sacrificed but I don’t think that changes the overall effect…

pretty spot, but looks a lot like weiden took the best elements of ‘grrr’ and ‘cog’ (2 award-winning honda spots from the past few years) and mashed them together to create a coke commercial. sure everything looks nice, but i don’t come away with anything. what are they trying to make me feel?
