I have had the worst stays of my life the two times I stayed at La Quinta. Stayed the second time thinking the first bad situation was a fluke. NOT SO. You cannot complain to La Quinta. No satisfaction at all. First time I was not given an AARP discount..clerk said "Our prices are so low we don't need to give a discount." At home, on the LQ website I saw they DO honor AARP & give discounts. I got in touch with their website and was told to "forget it". AND, my credit card was charged for two nights when we stayed ONE NIGHT. Thank goodness for AmEx, they delt with it. The second time was worse, when discrepencies were brought up to management..VIA computer, I was told, "Our Mistake", and not offered a partial refund or a discount on another stay. Fool me once and shame on you..fool me twice and shame on me. LQ was in Kallispell, Mt.

The security of la Qunita at Dunn ave in Jacksonville is poor and questional. We were held at gun point on 8/13/08 during daylight while entering our room. There are cameras only at the lobby for employees and their finance but no cameras for the customers. Security is provided only during night time and no security during day time.
