		<description>I think that the methods of the retailers are counterproductive. Criminalizing innocent customers will make them stay away from their stores and probably will not benefit them. Making an example of some individual cases will not contribute to the retailer&quot;s strategy of determent. Sooner or later they will lose customers and this aspect might be even worse than the damages caused by shoplifting. 
Indeed shoplifting is a big problem but I think that you have to think about more rational ways of handling this problem. </description>
