Chalk this up with Travelers’ Insurance ad and with the Sony Bravia ad, both also shot in San Francisco. [...]

And I agree with you about the high concept nature of the ad.

It's interesting how often high concept becomes a nice way of saying it's hard to connect the art to the product.

"Who is the guy on the bike that seemingly manages to avoid the snowball?"

He's insured with State Farm.

Fun ad, although I've already forgotten who made it.

I think this concept draws pretty heavily on the Katamari Damacy game, as revealed in a number of videos:

From an entirely consumer-based perspective, this ad is creepy. The concept is too terrorism related, especially the last images which are reminiscent of the attacks on and subsequent collapse of the Twin Towers. I want to avoid terrorist attacks - as I imagine all consumers do - and, given that I read the copy on this blog to figure out which product/service was behind this ad, do not have positive brand associations with the company. I certainly am not moved to purchase insurance from a company that invokes a terrible and unresolved moment of terror in its ad.
